Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is characterized by the inability of a man to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for his sexual needs or the needs of his partner. ED can cause emotional and relationship problems, and often contribute to diminished self-esteem. ED may suggest the presence of other health concerns, including cardiovascular and/or neurological issues.

ED is estimated to affect over 30 million men in the United States alone, including over half of men between 40 and 70 years old. Common risk factors for developing ED include aging, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, medications and benign prostate enlargement.

There are a wide variety of medical and surgical options available for the treatment of ED.

Presently, there are no FDA approved “supplements” to improve erectile function. Furthermore these products may be harmful due to the presence of prescription drugs or other undisclosed ingredients.
